Welcome!

We're a group to bring together, link up and share discussions, inspiring examples, questions, etc. coming out of Visual Camp, May 10, London, United Kingdom - before, during and after the event. An event co-designed by participants of the DotGovLabs Innovation Hub and supported by HM Skunkworks, Urban Forum and (Department for) Communities and Local Government. Bringing together designers / creatives, policy makers and civil society. Exploring all kinds of visuals: infographics, maps, animations, modelling, photos, etc. Good visuals can help bring about more inclusive community involvement. Photo above by @Redjotter

The winner will be invited to attend the Rio+20 UN Conference on Sustainable Development held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from June 4-6, 2012. Yes, and of course its exactly this which makes it highly suited to both collaborative (eg within local government) and participatory (eg within but also beyond government and inclusive of civil society and local communities) styles of working. Feel there ought to be a quote here about the importance of (the search for) shared meaning for social capital, but can't at the moment find one.
