Firstly this is not a discussion to cover the same ground as Our Square Mile , although either could include a sort of index of local maps. It's more a kind of round up of…Continue

A post on the LSE politics blog describes the two camps, Blond's Red Tories and Glasman's Blue Labour. It dawns on me that what's being said about reforming business and promoting localism is based on an assumption that it all started with…Continue

There's a risk that this is the wrong question at the wrong time, in which case of course it can simply be ignored. But perhaps co-design includes a willingness to confront difficult challenges as and when they arise?…Continue

Comment by Jeff Mowatt on March 23, 2011 at 10:29 I've been wondering of late - Just how common is real collaboration rather than talking about it. I was struck recently by the apparent contradiction of advocates for collaborating and sharing and the dismissal of 'baby boomers' as being incapable of understanding.
Comment by David Wilcox on February 13, 2011 at 18:41 Welcome to new members to the group. As I posted over here we've had a great few days of discussion on an ideas platform which led to 29 suggestions on ways to take forward the Our Society network, and things that we might do or influence. Do please take a look at the platform, add ideas, comment or vote. After a few days we'll review the ideas, see if we can consolidate, and then see how we might take things forward.
On behalf of the core organising group. Any queries, do get in touch or drop a comment here.
Comment by Andrew Kirk on January 21, 2011 at 12:46 Couldn't make it to the event yesterday but I'd be interested to hear any feedback on ideas which were discussed there & get a better idea of how I could help out. I've been involved in a few campaigning/ fundraising groups before so there's probably a few ways I could help take the group forward.
Something I'm working on at the moment is developing a platform for different cities to have their own TV channel. The one for Leeds is coming on well & I'd be interested to hear any suggestions on what you would like to see broadcast. The idea behind it is to bring together different community groups, local businesses etc & also tie in to various live events. I think it might fit in well with the idea behind OurSociety & help raise the profile of what you're doing. Look forward to hearing your suggestions & hopefully see you at the next event.
